Employers have a statutory obligation to keep daily timesheets for all employees. The WRC (Work Relations Commission) is rigorously enforcing this by visiting and requesting access to records. The penalty for non-compliance is €1,900.00. And this will invariably be followed by a Revenue Audit
Most of our contracts are with government institutions. Recently the ESB Network demanded to see our Timesheet records for all of our employees for the previous 12 months. Not only were we unaware that such is an obligation, but we were faced with the closure of our business if we failed to comply.
